This Lj post is actually quite out-dated but I have been in the process of moving
from Canada to Hong Kong. I've made the move and it's been wonderful finally
living with my Rex. The post of this journey will be further on.

Now, as for the times I spent in the U.S. of A.
It was great meeting two artists with the same sense of taste.
Jason (stuntkid) and Liz (lizzleliz). I spent 3 days living in their amazing
art filled home and they were very hospitable. Taking me out for great meals
and filling my head with intellect. It was grand, and as for the shooting,
it was a blast!

We eased into it with some random pieces I had brought along in my
giant suitcase. The polar bear.

Then I did some shots for his girlfriend Liz so she has a reference to paint from.
Her art is also quit exquisite and she makes hair pins as well.

Then it was time to model The Vintage Dr. corsets x 2!
Both B&W Alice in wonderland patterns, 1 stripe and 1 diamond check pattern.

We changed up the hair with an old Wendy's wig they had that I transformed into
what I like to call the Orangetoinette.

Hello Hong Kong!

Teddy Bears Photoshoot

Saturday of Anime North, Moody, Jamie, Mike, & I did a photoshoot
with Brian of FOS studios.
It was a lot of fun because Brian is a really chill person
to work with and we all just had a lot of fun with it.
Well, who wouldn't have fun with 3 bears, a human cake, and a
flah to capture it all.

I just recently got all the photos in the mail on cd so of course
I had some of my own fun with these.
Brian knows I'm a fan of photoshop so I hope he enjoys what I did
to them.

I really loved how everyone made their own costume and put
their own love and effort into each one. ^_^

It was feeding time.
Cake was sad.
But eating and feasting was to be had.

Party time, the cakes all done.

But cake was re-baked and she wanted some fun.

She ate those three bears and flew up in space.

Where she lived happily ever after with all of her cakes.

Anime North 2008 - Part 2

Out of all three days of the con, Sunday was the greatest.

We had to pack up early and get our shit out of the hotel
so we didn't have to pay them more money.

Im in the shower of the hotel... ~__~;

After we packed up, we headed to the con early and Chu's man
took over our booth for us. *Thank you Hieng*
I got to actually walk around the con all day and go to
the dealers room and spend some of the earned money from Copy Cake.
I spent a lot more then I usually would ~_____~:

I bought Hello Kitty in pj's with removable hood, and
baby Gloomy with bonnet.

I bought toast for Rex♥
Toast is my favorite, and he gets to live with me until
Rex comes to Canada.

And I bought the star on the bottom, so I took a pic
with my Mario that Rex bought me, Mikes star he bought,
and the ? box I made one time when I was bored lol

This is all the Gloomy merch my friends and I bought combine
+ Moody's Gloomy head..

I also bought this print from one of my favorites artist's.

She was so brilliant to chat to.
Her creativity is so love, and she's got the intelligence to
back it up.
It was an honor to meet her and I probably looked like a total
fool with bright red cheeks.
She's even coming out with an NDS/Wii game♥♥♥

I got to see some more great costumes I liked.

I always see this Octo in HK, so it brought me back haha

I found Kevin! and he introduced me to
his very cute lolita friend who also had sweets nails and
they were so yummy looking!

This was one of the best costumes but the guy was on his knees
so I'm sure it was probably the most uncomfortable as well.

After all the walking around, we all headed to one of the panel
rooms to set up for the Lolita Tea Party & photo shoot.

It was a great turn out. A lot of people showed up and a lot of well
dressed lolita's as well!
Sito was there to do a photoshoot during the tea party.
He was great and really fun to have him around snapping shots
at everyone/everything while the party was going on.

We were also the servers of the day.

We had four big tables of happy people.

Anime North 2008 - Part 1

This past weekend was probably the most effort I've put into anything.
There was anxiety, stress, excitement, it was all very intense and
completely worth every bit of it.
And it was all for an anime convention ~____~; lol

It was hard to see it all come together until now
because in the moment, there was just so much going on, there
wasn't a time to think.

The week before, Chu and I were slaving away on making miniature
cake rings and things, finishing my touches on my dresses,
while watching the rest of my friends panic to finish off their
costumes.

2 costumes, artists alley, panels, tea party, and 2 photo shoots
were my responsibilities for this weekend.

Friday was supposed to start off early, but like the entire weekend
most of what was planned was spontaneous and random but
all still ended up working out.
Chu & I practiced setting up our table together while watching
old episodes of student bodies. Nostalgia with Chu is my favorite
kind of nostalgia.

It took a bit of time to meet up with everyone, and then we headed
into Toronto to check in our hotel.
Some people weren't finished their costumes on time ~____~: so they
were left at the hotel while Chu & I set up shop; Cake shop that is.

Chu and I swapped the tables all of Friday.
Only getting a quick sneak peak of what there was to buy.
And chatting to our neighbor table Nicole who's
Chu's friend. Nicole was a really nice lolita ^_^

After we closed up shop, we headed back for the hotel for some
sleeps, but me and Chu had some last bit of energy to go cam crazy.

"Want to take action photos of us jumping up and down?"

"Whooooo, we sold a lot!"

Saturday, Brian of FOS studio's that I had worked with previous shoot,
took some pix of me and my friend's in our costumes.
Chu didn't get a chance to come a long because she had
to watch our table. But I took some pix before we parted.

Only my 3 bears and I could make it to the photoshoot, but it made for an awesome,
fun, crazy photoshoot in his studio that I will be putting up
in a later post.

That took a lot of the day so we got back to the Con as soon as possible.
Of course me with 3 giant bears it took another 45 minutes just to walk
30 feet.

I didn't get a chance to shop Saturday either, mostly snapping photos
of favorite eye candy. It was yummy times. And I love meeting new people
with same interests as myself... Anime con is so awesome to meet
crazy fun people!

This girl was one of my fav's. She spent a lot of time and effort
in this rabbit's head, and damn do I ever feel like I'm in wonderland.

She's a good loli and one I hope to keep in touch with.

Well, Gloomy got all the action from EVERYONE.
The con was obsessed with giant Gloomy, it was fun.

This is the first skankloli I've seen.
But she pulls it off well.

This girl is sooooo cute.
And she bought the hat I made ^___^

When younger people cosplay, it looks so much more authentic.

I have a lot of favorites but this girl is definitely
one of the top.
I think she's from soul caliber but let me know if I'm wrong.

This was the best cross play I saw the whole weekend.

After we closed up shop, we headed back to the hotel for comfy
clothes and then go back to the Con for more fun.

Chu fell asleep but we ended up meeting up with Zach!

And I was happy because I got my picture taken with Ash Ketchum!

There wasn't much going on late at night besides hentai
and all night yaoi, so we just goofed off for a bit,
found Kevin, walked around, and wrote our friends names
that didn't come to the con on some random white board.

It's funny to us.

After that we headed back to the hotes for much needed Z's
where we became sleep starved and had a slumber party
light show full of non stop laughing, non stop punches from sleeping
chu's. It was grand!

But overall I think Sunday was by far the best out of the
Con days. But that will be next post.
